The National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo, supported by the WHO and UNICEF offices, is holding a workshop with leaders and professionals of vaccination teams from Primary Health Care, with the aim of strengthening the coordination of activities for the implementation of the regular Vaccination Calendar. The workshop is in the continuation of preparations for the vaccination of boys in the 6th grade with the HPV vaccine, according to the recent decision of the Minister of Health, after the approval of the HPV vaccination for boys, in addition to girls.
In this workshop, an assessment of the annual vaccination coverage is also being made, including the three new vaccines introduced in the Vaccination Calendar in 2024; the updated Advocacy, Communication and Social Mobilization Plan for the HPV vaccine was presented, including the strategy for the inclusion of boys in vaccination; Coordination and planning for the start of the new round of vaccination in schools in February 2025.
